Fertilization

Healthy lawns and plants are the best defense against insects and disease.  Florida soil does not hold on to nutrients very well. Many plant nutrients dissolve in water, so they tend to leach out of sandy soil fast. Fertilizing your lawn, trees and shrubs will not only help you improve your soil biology, but also help to strengthen root systems and overall health. It is crucial to know when and what to apply. We use a variety of products and programs to properly fertilize specific species of grass, trees, and shrubs. The consistency of the application is just as important as putting out the right product at the right time. Our experience and expert knowledge will make sure you get the right product applied to suit your property’s needs.

Lawn Fertilization

A strong root system is the secret to maintaining a healthy lawn throughout the growing season. Promoting a healthy root system is best achieved with proper fertilization techniques which start with quality fertilizing products. Our experts can quickly diagnose the needs of your soil and turf areas based on certain factors. If need be, we can also perform soil testing to find out what is really going on with your soil biology. We then recommend a program designed specifically on the needs of your property so we can address any issues and help to improve your current quality.

Although no two lawns are exactly the same, it is recommended to fertilize your lawn at least four times a year:

Early Spring (February-April)                     Late Spring (April -June) ·

Summer  (June -August)                            Fall (September-November)

Trees, Shrubs & Ornamentals

We can fertilize your trees, shrubs and ornamentals to keep them looking their best and help ward off disease and insect pressure. Fertilizers help improve the appearance and condition of ornamental trees and shrubs. Increased vigor may make the plants more resistant to attack by disease organisms and insects. Our tree & shrub fertilization is soil injected to reach the root zone and immediately start feeding your ornamental tree. We will make recommendations and be able to tell you what insects or diseases may be causing health problems to your ornamentals, trees and shrubs.

Trust the Experts
All of our programs include Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques which are designed to reduce the material that controls weeds and insects. Instead of blanketing the entire lawn with chemicals, we spot treat for weeds and insects on an as-needed basis. All treatments are applied by licensed technicians in accordance with Florida’s Green Industries Best Management Practices to protect Florida's water ways.
